Every year in Taiwan we have several different holidays. This year, from April 1st to April 5th, we ushered in the Qingming Festival Spring Break. My family and I will sweep graves together and pay homage to our ancestors. There are also people who like to plan vacations to travel, and use this continuous vacation to visit graves and worship ancestors. This year, my plan is as follows.
On the first day of spring break, I was going to a temple, Lianguang Temple. I want to chant scriptures and worship Buddha here, sit in meditation and worship ancestors, and purify my mind. This action can restore my physical strength, similar to meditation.
The next day, I will go for a walk with my friends in Xitou, which is very close to home. While I’m there, I plan picnics, walks, and phytomatrines with friends to bond with them.
On the third day, I want to have a big meal with my family and travel with my family. No matter where I am, as long as I spend time with my family, I am happy, because I seldom get along with my family recently, and take advantage of the rare consecutive vacations to travel with my family.
This holiday season is a happy time. Tomb-sweeping Day also let us understand the truth of filial piety. This holiday allows us to spend time with our family, which is a very meaningful holiday.
